Experience
Hamilton Golf & Country Club
Set on incredible rolling land that has few rivals in terms of varied topography, HGCC’s original 18 is a testament to what a timeless golf course can be. Designed by Harry Shapland Colt, the famed British architect behind courses like Royal Portrush and Muirfield, Hamilton has been considered one of the best parkland courses in North America for more than a century, and played host to the best golfers in the world.

The Hamilton lifestyle
Few country clubs in North America match the natural beauty of Harry Shapland Colt’s parkland masterpiece that sits along the edge of the Niagara Escarpment.
Founded in 1894, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in the country, with a rich golf history and family connections to the local community that spans generations.

Championship Golf
We can all dream about who will be crowned the RBC Canadian Open Champion at Hamilton G&CC in June 2023. There is a good chance that Rory McIlroy may return to see the re-inspired Colt designed course after winning by three shots in 2019 highlighted by a final round 61 that included a run for a 59. If not, someone else will host the Canadian Open trophy over their head and another champion will be crowned.
As one of the 10 founding clubs of the Royal Canadian Golf Association—today’s Golf Canada, the club is proud to have hosted the Canadian Open six times and the membership embraces the opportunity to host many of the world’s greatest players while showcasing one of North America’s top country clubs.
